LFR, LPD respond to house fire in south Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Police and Lincoln Fire & Rescue responded to a house fire early Saturday morning that caused roughly $120,000 in damage.
LPD and LFR responded to the fire just after 2:30 a.m. near South 24th and ‘C’ Streets. Authorities said the home was converted into apartments and they evacuated everyone from the residence during the incident.
LPD said the fire started from an electrical cord that malfunctioned.
No injuries were reported.
Authorities said the home suffered $100,000 in structural damages and $20,000 to contents inside of the home.
