LFR puts out fire in west Lincoln motel
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A fire broke out in a west Lincoln motel room Saturday morning.
Just before 10 a.m., firefighters were called to the SureStay by Best Western near West O Street and South Coddington Avenue, according to Lincoln Fire & Rescue.
Crews arrived in five minutes and could see light smoke coming from the room, Battalion Chief Matt Treasure said.
It took them just two minutes to get the fire under control, he said.
The fire was contained to a mattress, according to LFR.
The cause is still under investigation.
