LFR rescues woman after she falls into a creek

Thanksgiving took a twist for a woman after she fell into a creek while taking a walk. It happened around 1 p.m. behind the Life Sciences Building on UNL’s east campus building.
Fire officials say the woman fell 20 feet into an embankment. She called a friend who then called 911 to help locate her.
It took fire crews about 45 minutes to rescue her.
She was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
