LFR responds to dryer fire at Laundry Land near downtown Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Several LFR crews responded Monday morning to a dryer fire at a laundromat near downtown Lincoln.
The fire was reported around 9:50 a.m. at Laundry Land near 21st and K streets.
Lincoln Fire & Rescue spokeswoman MJ Lierman said the fire was contained to a dryer.
The fire caused about $20,000 in damage.
Lierman said the cause of the fire appeared to be from items overheating inside the dryer.
The dryer’s lint traps were “maintained and cleaned” in the morning, according to Lierman.
