LFR responds to house fire in northeast Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Several Lincoln Fire & Rescue crews battled flames Wednesday morning at a home in northeast Lincoln.

Crews were sent to the home near North 67th Street and Ballard Avenue around 4:50 a.m.

LFR spokeswoman MJ Lierman said a neighbor reported seeing flames coming from the home.

When firefighters arrived, flames were coming out the front door.  The fire was under control by 5:30 a.m., according to Lierman.

No one was inside the home, and the damage is estimated at $200,000, Lierman said.

It’s unknown what caused the fire.
