LFR responds to Lincoln Red Robin for second straight night

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — For the second night in a row, the fries weren’t endless at Red Robin in Lincoln.

The restaurant closed early Friday night after a fire started outside of the building, Lincoln Fire & Rescue said.

Just before 6:30 p.m., several Lincoln Fire & Rescue crews were called to the Red Robin near 27th Street and Pine Lake Road.

In a video sent to our NOW Local News App by a Channel 8 reporter, you can see numerous units assessing the scene.

LFR said firefighters quickly put out a small blaze outside the restaurant.

Red Robin was evacuated and closed up for the rest of the night, according to LFR.

On Thursday, crews were sent to the same location on the report of smoke and an electrical smell.

They found a burnt motor in a walk-in cooler.

The restaurant evacuated and closed early that night, too.
