LFR responds to garage fire near downtown Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Firefighters put out a garage fire near downtown Lincoln on Tuesday evening.

The fire was reported a little after 5:30 p.m. near 20th and J streets.

Lincoln Fire & Rescue said firefighters had the blaze under control in about 10 minutes.

Battalion Chief Bob Watton said the fire caused $3,000 in damage to the garage and $12,000 in damage to a nearby house.

No one was injured, according to LFR, and the cause is under investigation.
