Light Snow Thursday, Arctic Cold Friday
Today brings cold temperatures and light/fluffy snow across northeast & eastern Nebraska. Snow will be on/off through Thursday evening. Winds will be light with snow accumulations remaining minimal farther south. This will be dry/fluffy snow Thursday. THURSDAY :light/fluffy snow–SATURDAY: wet/heavy snow.
Thursday–Friday
On-and-off light snow is expected through Thursday and Friday. Dry air in place will limit snowfall amounts, keeping accumulations minimal, especially across southern areas.
Saturday: Snow chances increase by late morning, with the best opportunity for more snowfall north of Columbus. Periods of moderate wet/heavy snow are possible within banded snowfall, and more decent accumulations are likely north of I-80.
Through Saturday, An area of 1-2″ of snow into parts of northeast Nebraska. There could be a moisture spike creating a band of moderate snowfall north of Columbus. The further south you are the less snow Trace-0.50″. This map is through Saturday.
Below zero wind chills and temperatures are expected Friday night into Saturday morning.
Thursday, brings light snow chances across northeast and eastern Nebraska. Saturday into Sunday looks to be a better chance for light snow across the state. By next week, a warming trend could be in store! Temperatures getting back into the 40s with some light RAIN/sleet possible.
