Lightning strikes multiple homes in Lincoln Saturday morning
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Lightning struck multiple homes during a stormy Saturday morning in Lincoln.
The first report came in just before 9 a.m. near South 40th Street and Faulkner Drive.
More than a dozen units were called to the scene after people said there was dark smoke and a burning smell.
The area was cleared in less than an hour.
A few minutes later another strike was reported near South 90th Street and Turnberry Circle.
Almost a dozen units responded after people said the roof caught fire.
Lincoln Fire & Rescue told Channel 8 crews knocked the flames down pretty quickly.
There does not appear to be any major damage, but an investigator is checking for issues.
That scene took a little more than an hour to clear.
There are no reports of any injuries.
