Lincoln Airport adds second airline offering flights to Orlando

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A second airline will be flying in and out of Lincoln.

On Tuesday, the Lincoln Airport Authority approved an agreement with Breeze Airways.

The new airline will offer nonstop flights to and from Orlando, Florida, starting Dec. 10.

The flights will take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays, according to Breeze’s website.

“Breeze has built a reputation for connecting underserved markets with affordable, high-quality service, and we’re thrilled to welcome them to Lincoln,” David Haring, executive director of the airport authority, said in a press release.

One-way tickets start at $79, the airport said.

LNK had been trying to add a second airline since the collapse of Red Way in 2023.

During its less than three months in existence, the airline offered flights to several cities, including Orlando.

Currently, the only air service out of Lincoln is United Airlines’ daily flights to Chicago and Denver.
