Lincoln Airport shows off $56 million renovation
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln Airport held a ribbon cutting and open house Thursday to showcase its renovations to the public.
The project took two years of design and three years of construction. In total, the renovation cost was around $56 million.
Renovations include:
- New flooring
- New customer service area
- New boardroom
- Consolidated security checkpoints
- Two new bag belts

“So what it should do now for us is certainly allow us the space to expand,” Executive Director David Haring said. “We continue to work with carriers to hopefully get new ones on board.”
Thursday’s event had tours, live music, food and drinks, and even a raffle.
