Lincoln apartment fire displaces one person

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — One person was displaced Thursday by an apartment fire in Thursday.

The fire started about 4:30 p.m. near North Cotner Boulevard and Vine Street.

A user of the NOW Local News App submitted a video showing firetrucks arriving on the scene.

A spokeswoman for Lincoln Fire & Rescue said the flames were “basically out” when crews got there.

Maintenance started the blaze accidentally while using a torch, according to LFR.

The fire caused about $10,000 in damage.
