Lincoln bookstore Indigo Bridge closing at end of August
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – An indie bookstore in central Lincoln is closing a chapter at the end of the month.
Indigo Bridge announced on social media Monday that the store is shutting its doors for good on Aug. 25.
The bookstore, located near 17th and Sumner streets, said everything in the store is 50% off until then.
“We hope each and every member of our beautiful community understands that YOU are what made Indigo Bridge the place it has been,” the store said in a Facebook post. “You have been an integral part of cultivating this diverse, fun, kind, loving, and safe space for everyone to come as they are.”
The bookstore’s nonprofit, Indigo Bridge Community, will continue to serve Lincoln.
“It is imperative to us to keep our mission alive and keep serving this amazing community however we can,” the store said.
Indigo Bridge is asking that people support other small businesses in Lincoln, shouting out several other local companies in the Facebook post.
