Lincoln box truck driver accused of driving past stop sign in Cass County crash

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln man was cited in a two-vehicle crash in rural Cass County that injured one on Thursday.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened around 6:20 p.m. near Highway 75 and Murray Road, just south of Plattsmouth.

A FedEx box truck, driven by a 33-year-old Lincoln man, drove past a stop sign and hit an SUV, according to the sheriff’s office.

Both vehicles came to a stop in a ditch.

The driver of the SUV was taken to a hospital with unknown injuries.

The Lincoln man was not injured.  He was cited for a stop sign violation and not wearing a seat belt.
