Lincoln boy writes book in honor of cherished family dog

On Sunday, there was a special book signing at the Capital Humane Society.

Cooper Finnegan and his grandmother Deane adopted a dog named Bodie from the Humane Society many years ago.

After Bodie passed away, Cooper was inspired to write a book in Bodie’s honor.

It’s called “The True Adventures of Me, Bodie.”

Cooper decided that the proceeds from the book sales would be donated right back to where Bodie came from.

“We got Bodie from the Capital Humane Society and after we wrote the book we decided to give the proceeds back to where he came from in honor of him,” said Cooper Finnegan.

The book signing took place from 2 to 4pm Sunday afternoon.

Cooper says they have raised over 500 dollars so far.

If you’d like to pick up a copy of the book for yourself, you can email the Finnegan’s at Bodiebook1@gmail.com.
