Lincoln candle company donating meals to kids in need

A local company is shedding some light in the community.

“We started with the intention of giving back around the world, so for every product we develop from our candles to our soap line gives back in a different way,” Feya Candle Founder Sarah Spitsen said.

Feya Candles is kicking off the year by packing and donating 10,000 meals for children in Haiti.

This is where you can help, they will be packing up the meals next Saturday and are asking for volunteers.

“We already have a great list of volunteers, but we’re always going to be looking for more. The type of packing parties we do really do turn into a party so the more the merrier,” Spitsen said.

If you want to volunteer Feya asks that you be over 16-years-old, or be accompanied by an adult, and able to lift more than 15 pounds.

The packing party will take place on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Lincoln City Impact. If you’re interested in volunteering or for more information you can visit their website or click here
