Lincoln catering company offers aid to Kearney restaurant

Aaron Young with ChefauChef felt the urge to help out a fellow chef in need by holding a fundraiser to donate some of the proceeds to Sozo restaurant in Kearney.
“We are giving half of our sales to Sozo restaurant in Kearney because their staff was effected by the flood. So, we just want to help them out, give them some love from Lincoln. Say hey, we care about you guys we want to make sure you can keep a living,” Young said.
The catering company is offered some of their wham bam meals in a pan. Which is a stuffed baked potato.
They offer up up to three serving sizes so there’s something for everyone.
After seeing a FaceBook post that showed Sozo underwater, Aaron said he couldn’t think of a better way to support them.
When asked why he choose this specific restaurant, he said he had a special connection to it.
“Travis and Sarah are the owners of Sozo and they used to be here in Lincoln and they used to be good chef mentors to me when I was getting started, so I really respect them and still follow them. I knew they were having issues with the flooding,” Young said.
Many people had already pre-signed to pick up their meals and help donate to a good cause and the crowd kept coming.
