Lincoln Christian band prepares for Spirit Sword game against Lincoln Lutheran
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln Christian band hopes to bring the boom to Friday’s Spirit Sword trophy game against Lincoln Lutheran.
The band looks to inspire the Crusaders to take back the coveted Spirit Sword trophy, which the Warriors took last year in a 7-0 win.
Rebecca McCullough, a senior who plays tenor sax, said the band plays an important role under the lights on Friday nights.
“It gets everyone hyped, especially on the football team, and just creates a really great atmosphere,” she said.

Joshua Pierce, who also plays tenor sax, said joining the pep band was one of the best decisions he’s made in high school.
“I really like the camaraderie and to play with the entire band and do music that I genuinely love,” he said.
Lincoln Christian kicks off against Lincoln Lutheran around 7 p.m. at Aldrich Field.
