Lincoln Christian defeats Raymond Central in a close game

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln Christian Crusaders hosted the Raymond Central Mustangs on a chilly Friday night.

The home team defeated Raymond Central 34-29.

Right away in the first quarter, the Crusaders’ defense showed out. Dominic Roth picked off Wyatt Jelinek’s long pass.

And he made that interception count.

Lincoln Christian quarterback Sam Svoboda tossed it to Roth, who ran it in for the touchdown. A missed extra point made it 6-0 Crusaders.

But the Mustangs fought back. Dawson Potter took a handoff from Jelinek and rushed into the end zone, putting Raymond Central up 7-6.

With time starting to run out, the Crusaders intercepted it yet again.

With a minute left in the half, Truman Paulsen was in as QB. He kept it and scored another Lincoln Christian touchdown.
