Lincoln Christian takes care of North Bend in opening round of state tournament

LINCOLN, Neb (KLKN) – The Lincoln Christian girls downed North Bend 60-45 on Wednesday in the state basketball tournament.

The Crusaders went up 33-20 at the break.

That strong first half helped keep North Bend at bay in a second half that saw LC outscore the Tigers by only 2.

“I try to encourage the team,” senior Kena Ailes said. “Just tell us to take a breath, calm down, take it all in and work hard. It’s just a basketball game, so work hard and do what we know how to do.”
