Lincoln Christian’s defense helps take down unbeaten Milford

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – It was homecoming for Lincoln Christian on Friday night as the Crusaders took down unbeaten Milford 31-0.

The Crusaders came out of the locker room hot, getting an early touchdown from Dominick Roth to give Lincoln Christian an 8-0 lead.

Roth came up big again in the second quarter as he picked off Milford quarterback Landon Roth, and then scored a 45-yard rushing touchdown to give the Crusaders a 16-0 lead.

The defense continued making plays for Lincoln Christian in the second quarter as Asa Wegrzyn took a tip-drill interception to the crib, giving the Crusaders a 24-0 lead at the break.

Wegrzyn got his second touchdown of the night in the third quarter as the Crusaders started to run away with it.

The Crusaders moved to 4-1 on the year and will travel to Central City next Friday to take on the Bison.
