LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Lincoln Transportation and Utilities Department on Friday stopped a wastewater overflow into Deadmans Run.

Around noon, the Wastewater Division responded to the creek near North Cotner Boulevard and Vine Street.

According to officials, an obstruction caused wastewater to back up in the sanitary sewer collection system and leak from a manhole into the creek.

City crews said they immediately addressed the problem, and normal water flow has resumed.

The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department was informed about the leak.
