Lincoln City Libraries kicks off annual Winter Reading Challenge
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln City Libraries is encouraging the community to start their year off with a book.
The annual Winter Reading Challenge began Monday and goes until the end of January.
This year’s theme is “Where We Come From,” encouraging self-reflection and a deeper understanding of personal narratives, officials said.
Participants can earn “virtual tickets” by recording time spent reading. Readers ages 12 to 18 can also participate in Book Bingo.
Contestants can stop into any Lincoln library for a bingo card, which must be completed and submitted by March 31.
The virtual tickets and bingo cards will be entered into drawings for prizes, including Amazon Kindles and gift cards.
People can register for the reading challenge on the Lincoln City Libraries website.
