Lincoln declares snow emergency, parking ban before second winter storm this week
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Another snow emergency was declared Thursday ahead of the second winter storm this week.
City officials said a snow emergency went into effect at 3 p.m. A parking ban will go into effect at 8 p.m.
Parking will be prohibited on both sides of emergency snow routes, arterial streets, and school and bus routes.
Maps of those routes can be found on the city’s website.

A winter storm warning started at 3 p.m. and goes until Friday at 9 p.m. in Lincoln.
The snow is expected to start around the evening commute and continue into Friday morning.
