Lincoln drug dealer gets over 22 years in prison for selling fentanyl-laced cocaine

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln man will spend over two decades in prison for selling fentanyl-laced cocaine that resulted in an overdose, the U.S. Attorney’s Office says.
Franklin Rorebeck, 39, was sentenced Friday to 22½ years in prison for distributing cocaine and fentanyl resulting in serious bodily injury.
In July 2021, Rorebeck sold cocaine, which was laced with fentanyl, to a person in Lincoln.
That person then sold the fentanyl to someone else. They gave it to the victim, who overdosed on July 25, the attorney’s office says.
First responders performed CPR on the victim, who was also given Narcan and hospitalized, according to the sheriff’s office.
During a search of the victim’s home, Lincoln Police officers found a “small white rock,” which later tested positive for the presence of fentanyl, the attorney’s office says.
A doctor determined that the victim would have died if they didn’t receive the Narcan.
