Lincoln Earth Day first ever clothing swap

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Earth Day partnered with the Nebraska Recycling Council and Goodwill on Saturday to host the very first city-wide clothing swap at Nebraska Innovation Campus.
The event allowed people to donate clothing they do not want and have the option to swap with items they have found.
“One of the huge things is just like knowing the resources and the initiatives that are going on in your local communities,” said Melissa Mercier, the president of Lincoln Earth Day. “So its really about getting people together to communicate so they know.”
Over 50 booths and local food vendors were in attendance.
This event helped show the importance of Earth Day to the Lincoln community.
