Lincoln election results: Airport authority

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two seats for the Airport Authority board of directors were up for grabs in Tuesday’s election.

Chris Stokes led the group with 36,022 votes, securing a spot on the board.

The other seat is up in the air, as Chris Hove led Vanessa Emlich by only 327 votes as of 10:15 p.m. Tuesday.

The board has full jurisdiction and control over the airport’s facilities for aviation operations, air navigation and air safety operations.

The Lancaster County Election Commission estimates that there are less than 4,000 votes left to count.
