Lincoln financial adviser says new year is good time to make a money plan

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The new year can be a time for creating new goals in areas of your life, including finances.

Tim Kulhanek, an adviser at Stonebridge Insurance and Wealth Management, suggests that you go into 2024 with a plan.

“I think the important thing heading into the new year with your finances is being willing to kind of set aside some of the things that maybe didn’t go your way last year,” he said.

Start small by creating a budget and boosting your financial literacy.

Kulhanek also encourages taking advantage of any financial benefits from your employer and planning ahead for retirement.
