Lincoln Fire & Rescue works hot spots after homeless camp fire
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Fire & Rescue battled hot spots Monday morning after a grass fire at a homeless camp.
The fire was south of Superior Street near the Salt Creek.
Firefighters put out the flames on Sunday, but some spots were still smoldering.
LFR is urging everyone to take caution amid the dry conditions and be aware of possible ignition sources.
The Lincoln area has seen several grass fires in the past couple weeks.
