Lincoln Fire & Rescue responds to house fire near Antelope Park

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Crews battled a house fire near Antelope Park on Saturday.

Just after 11 a.m., Lincoln Fire & Rescue units were sent to a home near 27th and South streets.

In a video sent to our NOW Local News App by a Channel 8 reporter, you can see several crews working in the street.

According to a spokeswoman from LFR, the fire started in the bathroom due to careless disposal of a cigarette.

The fire caused $2,000 in damage, but nobody had to be relocated, LFR said.

There were no injuries reported from the blaze.
