Lincoln food truck fest aims to combat hunger, support local businesses

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – LincOne Federal Credit Union is hosting its first annual Food Truck Fest, which aims to support businesses and families across the city.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the LincOne Federal Credit Union near 25th and O Streets.

LincOne partnered with several local food trucks, Community Action and the Food Bank of Lincoln to help eliminate hunger insecurity.

Nathan Brock, LincOne’s chief human resources officer, said their goal is to “keep money local” in Lincoln.

“We are simply supporting our local neighbors and raising some awareness,” he said.

During the event, LincOne is accepting non-perishable goods for donations to the Food Bank of Lincoln.

Children’s Hospital in Omaha will also receive all proceeds from the dunk tank at the event.
