Lincoln health expert says Halloween makeup could pose risk to some children
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Ghouls, ghosts and more will wander the streets on Halloween night, with many donning face makeup.
But a Lincoln nurse is warning parents that some face paints can pose risks for their children.
Jodi DeWitt, a trauma coordinator at CHI Health St. Elizabeth, said some makeup can lead to rashes or dermatitis for children who have sensitive skin.

Before Halloween night, parents should test out the makeup to make sure it doesn’t have any adverse effects.
“Test it maybe on their hand first before you slather it all over their face,” she said.
