Lincoln heroin dealer to spend over nine years behind bars on drug charge

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln man will spend nearly a decade in prison for selling heroin, the U.S. Attorney’s Office says.
Zachary Northey, 30, was sentenced Friday to nine years and two months in prison for distributing heroin.
From Nov. 26, 2018, to Jan. 8, 2019, Northey was selling heroin in Lincoln, according to the attorney’s office.
During that time frame, a person who bought heroin from Northey overdosed three times.
He was revived twice but died on the third overdose, the attorney’s office said.
After his release from prison, Northey will serve a three-year term of supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.
