Lincoln Littles raises $670,000 for early childhood education
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Littles held a fundraising campaign to raise money to help offset the cost of early childhood education. They raised a little more than $670,000.
Not everyone can afford to give their child an early education so Lincoln Littles provides money to early childhood education providers.
Since 2019 the program has helped 400 families provide their children access to early childhood education.
Alec Gorynski explained just how much it costs for a year to send a child to early education saying, “In Lincoln the average cost of center-based childcare for infants and toddlers ranges from $9,000 to $9,500 per year, which is the same cost as resident tuition for a year of public college.”
