Lincoln Lutheran asking for donations to help Ukrainian refugees in Poland
The donations are in coordination with Orphan Grain Train.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Lutheran in coordination with Orphan Grain Train is asking for the community to rally together and donate items for Ukrainian refugees in Poland.
During school today, Lincoln Lutheran Senior Joshua Duitsman received an email from Orphan Grain Train asking if the school would be willing to help collect items to send to Ukrainian refugees in Poland. Without hesitation, he and the student leaders said yes.
“Obviously, just seeing the pain and the tough times that the Ukrainians are going through right now, I know that we don’t personally understand that, but we were just talking today that, we have to go out of our way to help serve those in need, and right now those are definitely people in need and need our help,” Duitsman said.
They are asking for people to donate disposable diapers, ACE wraps, bandage dressings, band-aids, tourniquets, feminine hygiene products, Tylenol, Ibuprofen, bar soap, towels, washcloths, and toothbrushes.
People can donate these items at the front office of Lincoln Lutheran from 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. on Friday, March 3rd.
If someone is unable to bring the items to the school at that time they can bring them to the Orphan Grain Train location at 4817 N 56th St. Unit 10. The times Orphan Grain Train are accepting donations is 9-11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 5th and 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, March 6th.
