Lincoln Lutheran falls despite late score against Aquinas Catholic

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln Lutheran Warriors were mired by turnovers against the Aquinas Catholic Monarchs on Friday.

The Monarchs defended their lead through a last-minute touchdown late in the fourth, winning 10-7 over the Warriors.

Aquinas quarterback Jakob Kavan had back-to-back runs downfield for the Monarchs’ only touchdown.

At the half, Aquinas Catholic led 10-0, shutting down the Warriors’ offense with two interceptions.

The fourth-quarter comeback was too little too late for Lincoln Lutheran.

The Warriors will take on the Concordia Mustangs next week for homecoming.
