Lincoln Lutheran Warriors triumph over Milford Eagles in close game
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Lutheran hosted the Milford Eagles on Friday night at Aldrich Field in Lincoln.
The Warriors pulled out a 27-20 win.
Milford was up 6-3 in the second quarter as Tyce Lopez took the handoff, wove through traffic and took it all the way to the house for an Eagles touchdown.
They then tried to make up for a missed 2-point conversion earlier in the game.
Quarterback Landon Roth passed it to Colby Rautenberg, putting Milford up 14-3.
But the Warriors fought back. QB Braxton Glines threw it to Trenton Ernst, who was pushed out of bounds just short of the end zone.
Kruz Fiddler finished the job. He took it the final yard and scored for Lincoln Lutheran, putting the Warriors on top 17-14.
