LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A judge ruled Tuesday that there is enough evidence to try a Lincoln man accused of sexually assaulting a woman and abusing her kids.

Lancaster County Judge Laurie Yardley sent the case against Seville Colliers, 37, to district court.

Colliers is charged with first-degree sexual assault and two counts of intentional child abuse with no injury.

In February, a woman told police that Colliers had repeatedly raped her and also subjected her to physical abuse and threats.

He one texted her, “if you don’t do better I’m going to kill us both,” according to an arrest affidavit.

The victim’s children told investigators that they also were physically abused, saying Colliers whipped them with belts.

One child said she overheard Colliers tell her mother, “If you ever tell anyone what is happening I will make sure all of you die,” the affidavit says.

Colliers is set to make his first appearance in Lancaster County District Court on July 23.
