Lincoln man accused of sexually assaulting girl

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln man was arrested Saturday after an investigation into the sexual assault of a child, court documents say.
Nicholas Read, 32, was lodged in the Lancaster County Jail on suspicion of first-degree sexual assault of a child, according to booking records.
The investigation began when a 14-year-old girl reported the sexual assault to a school counselor on Sept. 22.
She reported that Read had been sexually assaulting her since she was 11, an arrest affidavit alleges.
Following the investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Read on Friday, and he was taken into custody the next day.
Read has not yet been arraigned in Lancaster County Court.
