Lincoln man arrested after assaulting girlfriend, police officer

A Lincoln man is in custody after assaulting his girlfriend and a responding officer.
It happened on Wednesday near Adams and NW 1st Street.
39-year-old Antonio Williams was contacted after police received a 911 call from his girlfriend.
When officers arrived Williams charged at the officer and the officer was able to avoid falling, but Williams charged at him again and threw him against a pile of landscaping rocks.
There was a struggle, and the officer was able to taze Williams. A second officer arrived and and Williams resisted again but they were eventually able to take him into custody.
Williams was arrested for third degree domestic assault, resisting arrest, violating a protection order and assault of a police officer.
Both the officer and the victim of domestic assault had minor injuries.
