Lincoln man arrested after investigators reportedly find child porn on phone

A Lincoln man was arrested after investigators reportedly found child porn on his cellphone.
Authorities arrested Jesse Pecka, 47, Monday on one charge of felony possession of child pornography. He had recently received parole from Community Corrections in Lincoln, according to court documents.
Nebraska State Patrol investigators were originally alerted by Google in 2016 that a suspect, later identified as Pecka, had uploaded child porn images. Investigators then learned Pecka had previously been investigated, but not charged, for possession of child porn, and that he admitted to searching for porn involving young females, according to an arrest affidavit.
Pecka’s phone was sent to the NSP Computer Crimes Laboratory for further analysis in order to determine whether additional files are on the device, according to the document.
A judge set Pecka’s bond at $100,000 Tuesday. He is scheduled to appear in court next month.
