Lincoln man arrested after punching windows, stealing from vehicles

LPD arrested the 36-year-old man for felony possession of burglar's tools and seven counts of misdemeanor theft by unlawful taking. 

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln police arrested a man after he broke into multiple vehicles in a central Lincoln neighborhood.

On Tuesday, LPD received a call to the area of Goodhue and F Streets on a suspicious person. The caller told police he saw a man breaking into a car by smashing a window.

Officers arrived in the area of Goodhue and E Streets and located a man matching the description the caller gave to the police. The officers took 36-year-old Jason Harden into custody after seeing blood on his hand.

During a search, officers found a glass punch in the man’s pocket and stolen items from vehicles in the area were found in his bag.

LPD arrested Harden for felony possession of burglar’s tools and seven counts of misdemeanor theft by unlawful taking.
