LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln man was arrested on Saturday after police say he stabbed someone in the arm with a screwdriver.

Just before 6:15 a.m., officers with the Lincoln Police Department were sent to the area of 12th and G streets.

According to LPD, the suspect — 34-year-old Ruben Calderon — stabbed someone known to him during an argument in a vehicle, causing a puncture wound.

After Calderon retreated into his apartment, he was arrested during a search conducted under a search warrant nearly two hours later.

LPD said Calderon actively resisted five different officers while they tried to arrest him.

After he was put in handcuffs, officers found the screwdriver at the scene.

Calderon was lodged in the Lancaster County Jail on suspicion of second-degree domestic assault, use of a weapon to commit a felony and resisting arrest.
