Lincoln man arrested for narcotics, weapons

Police arrested a Lincoln man for possession of narcotics and stolen weapons Monday evening. 

42-year-old Donald Cox was initially pulled over for failing to signal, when officers talked to him, Cox admitted he had a meth pipe in his pocket, police said. 

Police then searched his car. They found 18 grams of meth, a loaded revolver, scales and pipes and $5,500 in cash. 

Then, a search warrant was served at Cox’s home. 

Four more firearms were found, including a stolen handgun. 

Police also turned up 126 grams of cocaine, 790 grams of marijuana, 221 grams of meth and five different types of illegal prescription pills. 

More than $14,000 in cash was also found, police said. 

Cox was arrested on 12 different charges related to weapons and drugs.
