Lincoln man caught after multi-county pursuit, patrol says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A helicopter helped track a motorcyclist Tuesday during a chase across Lincoln, the Nebraska State Patrol says.

Around 4 p.m., a trooper tried pulling over a motorcyclist — 19-year-old Jack Henry of Lincoln — for speeding on Highway 77 in west Lincoln.

Henry drove between several vehicles that were stopped at a red light and continued east on Van Dorn, according to the patrol.

The trooper started chasing Henry but stopped after a patrol helicopter took over the pursuit.

Henry drove through Lincoln and started heading toward Adams, the patrol said.

About 45 minutes later, he stopped near 148th and East Cedar roads and was taken into custody.

He was arrested on suspicion of several charges, including flight to avoid arrest.
