Lincoln man caught with nearly 2 pounds of meth gets 20 years in prison

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln man was sentenced Monday after being caught with nearly two pounds of methamphetamine.

Victor Aaron Gonzales, 39, got 20 years in federal prison with a five-year term of supervised release.

In November 2022, investigators searched two homes in Lincoln that were associated with Gonzales.

At a house he shared with his girlfriend, police stopped him and searched his car, finding about 700 grams of meth.

After searching the house, investigators found a loaded rifle along with scales, baggies and a cash counter.

The next day, investigators searched the house where Gonzales’ wife and kids were living.

Investigators found marijuana, a scoop with meth residue, ammunition and over $69,000 in cash.
