Lincoln man dies after falling through plywood at construction site

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln man died Thursday at a construction site north of Waverly.

About 12:30 p.m., first responders were sent to a home near 112th Street and Rock Creek Road, according to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.

They found that 36-year-old Elder Divas Carias had fallen through an unsecured sheet of plywood.

Medics performed lifesaving measures on him, but the sheriff’s office said he died at the scene.

The sheriff’s office is investigating the death, and an autopsy has been scheduled.

Waverly Fire & Rescue and Lincoln Fire & Rescue responded.
