Lincoln man found guilty in sexual assault of young girl

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln man pleaded guilty Tuesday in the sexual abuse of a young girl.
Justin Whitlock, 44, was convicted of attempted first-degree sexual assault of a child.
That charge was reduced from first-degree sexual assault of a child under a plea deal.

On Aug. 4, Whitlock assaulted a girl at his home near 27th and Fair streets, according to court documents.
Police said the victim was under 10 years old.
Whitlock is set to be sentenced in Lancaster County District Court on May 21.
He faces up to 50 years in prison.
