Lincoln man gets nine years in prison for sharing child porn images

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln man will spend nearly a decade behind bars for sharing images of child pornography, the U.S. Attorney’s Office says.
William Lee Rezac Jr., 45, was sentenced Wednesday to nine years in prison for the receipt and distribution of child pornography.
U.S. District Judge John M. Gerrard also ordered Rezac to pay $3,000 to victims of child pornography crimes.
In May 2022, investigators received a tip that someone shared child porn images from an IP address that was registered to Rezac, the attorney’s office said.
Authorities later got a search warrant and seized Rezac’s devices. He also admitted that he had child pornography.
During a search of the electronics, authorities found about 50 images and a video of child pornography, according to the attorney’s office.
After serving his prison sentence, Rezac will spend seven years on supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.
