Lincoln man held on $2 million bond in sexual assaults dating to 2008
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln man was arrested this week in connection with the sexual assault of two children.
Armando Medrano, 53, was booked into the Lancaster County Jail on Wednesday.
On Thursday, a judge set his bond at $2 million. He must pay 10% of that — $200,000 — to be released.
Court documents allege that Medrano sexually assaulted a child from November 2008 to November 2013. He is charged with first-degree sexual assault of a child in that case.
Medrano is accused of assaulting another minor in July 2017. He faces a charge of third-degree sexual assault of a child in that case.
His arrest affidavit has been sealed, so details of the allegations against him are limited.
But prosecutors filed a motion on Friday seeking to unseal the document.
Medrano’s next court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 19.
